That's inevitable. No matter what you say or do, someone will find something to be hurt by. That said, words are driven by intentions and assumptions. I'm not sure that asking people to filter out their "words" is a good thing. Words are valued too much and many pretend to say all the right things while concealing what they really think and feel.
