Compare this Black Vulture image with that of the Hooded Merganser from yesterday. Even if you might not find it to be beautiful, its mate sure thinks so.

Black Vultures are sexually monomorphic (i.e. males and females do not exhibit any significant visible differences in shape, color or size), much like most parrots.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
